The F90 M5 & F9X M8 are truly worthy successors to the F1X platform. BMW’s S63 Twin-Turbo V8 is a tried and true power plant capable of big numbers. Like most turbo engines, cranking up the boost for those big gains creates a lot more heat.The F90 M5 is based on the G30 5 Series and uses an all-wheel drive ("xDrive") powertrain, being the first time that an M5 has not been rear-wheel drive.
